Frequently Asked Questions

Can my puppy go outside before completing vaccinations?
Avoid dog parks, pet stores, and areas with unknown dogs until the series is complete (16 weeks). Controlled socialization (friends' vaccinated dogs, puppy classes at vet clinics) is still important during this period for behavioral development.
What if I adopted an adult dog with unknown vaccine history?
Your vet will likely restart the core series (2 DHPP doses 3–4 weeks apart + rabies). Blood titer tests can check for existing immunity but cost more than just revaccinating.
